Internet nowadays goes to rapid circulation to many places in the world. Internet helps people to be connected on the digital world. Email, chat, surf and play games online to mention some of what people used to do. Broadband services are now inevitable and competent to suffice users’ needs. One of these is mobile internet modems.

Mobile internet modems are now officially deployed on market. The services offered by these mobile modems are postpaid and prepaid. Same as SIM cards on cell phone, users will just load there modems with designated mobile numbers to services centers for prepaid to access the internet. The popular mobile modems here in the Philippines are Globe Tattoo® and Smart Bro®. The HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) allows users to a faster mobile internet connection speed. The advantages of these mobile modems are:

• Users can access internet everywhere as long as there is a HSDPA (High Speed Downlink Packet Access) signal.
• Save money (if users do not go online everyday)
• If there is a Wi-Fi connection, users can connect to it if their PC’s do not have Built-in LAN
• Because it is mobile, user can access anywhere.

While, there are advantages, there are also disadvantages. To mention, first is that the stability of the signal. Signals of HSDPA depends on how the mobile services’ strong signal. The least the mobile modems can accumulate is the GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) signal. The second is that download is not really that fast if you are away of the HSDPA signal.

Manageability is one of the criteria of good software. Lots of websites are especially those which are dynamic, needs to have a good manageability content to maintain the site’s internal and external design. Content management systems are famous for their built-in web developing content to provide users and developers efficient website manageability. However, while CMS’s are being widely used, what are the impacts of using such systems especially to the students that may rely on these materials to accomplish their projects or requirements? Are they still learning on their course particularly on web developing? What are the benefits and drawbacks of CMS?

As a computer science student, learning is always a progress. Projects are here and there to accomplish. Content Management Systems are useful to provide ease and efficient developing. It’s just having few steps to install into the web server or host. However, learning essentials may be in risk. There will be two different learning the CMS will contribute. First is the CMS learning and the second is code contribution learning. The CMS learning is how the users learn the entirety of the system- their themes, modules or even user-interactivity on how he develop the system. The second is that the user learns about the code since CMS are open source system that will contribute to the users.

Learning depends on how users use their skills on programming. It depends on how he looks at a CMS or just a hard code. But what concerns users is the output rather than the input.

Websites are growing daily on the internet today. People go surfing here and there to gather information, friends or eve money. Business owners have there strategies to earn large income as well as promotion to their business. One of these strategies is referrals.

Referrals are one of the many strategies of business owners to grow their business. These are links that will be used to transfer the promotion to another that in return they will pay you back. But, how true are these referrals? Is this a part of a scam? What are these for? Look back. You may be a victim of these.

If you have less knowledge on the basics of the Internet or even a broader, look at these tricks.
How to avoid getting scam:

• Look at the design of the site. If it is not good and well-designed, get rid of it.
• Look at the site’s links and footer. There should be a copyright, contact details and even about us.
• Look at the forms you are filling with. If there is anything suspicious like asking for bills, paypal or bank account without further details, then get rid of that site.
• If you have joined the site’s offer and had given you referral number and you have no credits yet for two to three months, stop giving referrals to others.
• Get informed. Join forums and ask if the site you are entering is a scam.
• If you think you suspected a website, try to contact them.
• Know about others if they have experienced scammed.

Are you tired of malicious scripts that will infiltrate the contents of browsers, USB and more? These scripts are likely to have an extension of.vbs (Visual Basic Scripting) or .js (Java Script) mostly that will stay most likely forever unless you have good and updated antivirus software. Here you can learn how you will prevent these malicious scripting files from entering executing from your computer that will cause PC infection of viruses through autorun.inf.

Here’s how for Windows NT / Windows 2000 and Windows XP:

• First check if Windows Scripting Host is enabled on your PC:
-Click start menu > run > and type cmd
-A command shell will popup and type wscript

You will know if it is enabled when Windows Script Host Settings dialog box will popup

Now let’s begin how to be able to protect your PC.
• If you have good and up-to-date antivirus software you are able to protect your PC form these malicious scripts.
• If you don’t have this software, you can disable the Windows Scripting Host which causes these malicious scripts to be executed. Here are the steps on how:
-Rename or delete the WSH executable: wscript.exe
-It’s normally found in the system32 folder at the windows folder in your drive C or the drive where you installed your operating system.

-you can download a free ware AnalogX Script Defender that will intercept any request to execute the most common scripting types.

Having insufficient RAM? Having trouble about having a slow PC performance? Now, there is nothing to worry about it because here are some steps on boosting up your PC. All you need to have is just your USB (at least 512MB space of memory) and eBoostr software.

Here is how:

• Download a copy of eBoostr and install it on your PC.
• After installation, you will see this menu. As you can see, I have only 256MB of RAM and I have only 42MB of memory space available out of 233 MB

• Here I used my USB named “jo”.


• I allocate at 896MB of memory.


• Then, as you see from the screenshot, it is building cache. You will see that there is a warning sign in the lower left of the screen shot. This indicates caching is not yet done.


• Lastly, building cache is finished. You can test the performance of your PC by trying to copy a large file from your USB to PC or just locally or try to open many or large applications. In my case, I dragged a window to and froe.

Software Needed:

Note: If you have no software listed below then visit the provided link.

1. Java uploader. http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/freeware/java/uploader
2. SoftickPPP. http://www.softick.com/download.php
3. Jad maker for those games and apps downloaded as jar files only.
4. The jad and jar files of the game.http://www.getjar.com/


Having these things ready, we may now start with the installation of

Softick. But before that, just to make our job easier, be sure to

instal your samsung pc studio 3.0 software in your pc. Connect your

phone to the usb cable and select modem for USB settings. Shut down the

samsung pc studio leaving your phone still connected. Now, you will

need to know to what com port is your phone connected by clicking Start

menu, Control Panel, Printers and Other Hardware and then click on

Phone and Modem options. A window for the Phone and Modem Options will

pop then select on the modems tab. After doing that look for the

Samsung mobile USB Modem ... and note down the Com port that you will

see. Com port for different users varies like it would say COM 4 for

you and COM 5 for me.) After noting your Com port, close the Phone and

Modem options window pane by clicking OK.

You may now proceed with installing SoftickPPP. By following these

steps.


Softick Installation and Settings:

1. Run your downloaded SoftickPPP installer. It could be of the same

version with Mr. Afzal's or not.
2. Just agree on all the terms of installing varying nothing until you

get to a message saying " A path to Palm Desktop cannot be..." press

the OK button.
3. In the USB Sharing mode, select "Use USB port in exclusive mode" and

press the Next button.
4. Then Press the next Button again to the "Completing the Softick PPP

setup Wizard" and press Finish to complete installation.

That would finish your installation of the SoftickPPP. Next step is to

configure it.

SoftickPPP Configuration:
===========================
1. In system tray, lower right corner of your screen, you will see the

Softick icon. Right click on it's icon and go to Settings,

Bluetooth/Serial.
2. Put a check on the COM port with the (/Device/ss_mdm0) device.
3. Click on its properties and you should see a port speed of 1:5200

bps and a Flow control of Hardware. Press OK.

You are now done with configuring your Softick. Next step is to create

a network connection on your PC.

Creating a New Network Connection:
====================================
1. Click on Start Menu.
2. Click on Control Panel.
3. Click on Network and Internet Connections.
4. Click on Network Connections.
5. Click on Create a New Connection to start the New Connection Wizard.
6. On the New Connection Wizard window press next.
7. Click on "Setup and advanced Connection" and then press next.
8. Clock on "Connect directly to another computer" and then press next.
9. Click on "Host" and then press next.
10. Select Connection device COM1 and then press next.
11. Select USers like Administrator and your windows account name and

then press next.
12. Press finish to complete the Process.

The Next step is to configure the Incoming Connections.


Incoming Connections Configuration:

1. Click on Start Menu.
2. Click on Control Panel.
3. Click on Network and Internet Connections.
4. Click on Network Connections.
5. Right Click on Incoming Connections and choose properties.
6. Under General Tab, there should only be one check on incoming

connections which is Communications cable between two computers ( COM1

) and click on it's properties.
7. Set Port Speed to 115200 and press OK.
8. Click on Users Tab.
9. Put a check on "Always allow directly connected devices..."
10. Click on Networking Tab.
11. Click on Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) and then go to its Properties.
12. Click on Specify TCP/IP Addresses
13. Input 192.168.50.1 in "From".
14. Input 192.168.50.2 in "To" and then press OK.


That ends the installation and configurations. Next thing to do is to

run the SoftickPPP. Activate PPP by right clicking on the SoftickPPP

icon in System tray and choose "Activate PPP". An "Unable to locate

required library" window message will pop, Click on cancel to ignore

the message. To check if your phone is successfully connected, place

the mouse cursor on the Softick PPP icon. It should display a

"SoftickPPP: 1 device(s) connected PPP is enabled.


Start of the Installation:

1. Run your Java Uploader.
2. Select the game you want to install. ( remember to put the jad and

jar file of the game in one folder.)
3. Enter *#52828378# on the phone to access the Java Test Menu.
4. Choose OTA type setting, choose Serial bearer OTA. Press select.

(change this back to GPRS bearer OTA after all java installation.)
5. Still under Java Test Menu, Select "Serial Test".
6. Select "PPP Up".
7. Select "USB".
8. Select "Serial Download". The Java spals Screen will appear with a

progress bar. After the progress bar had finished, the game will start

automatically.
9. change back OTA type setting to GPRS bearer OTA after all java

installations. Ensure that you do this to be able to use GPRS or EDGE

features on your phone.


From personal experiences we tell you that after installation your

phone may saty unstable for
a long time, though you will be able to carry out normal operations,

your phone may hang and
crash sometime.This problem usually persists for 1 week post

installation.After which crashes
will not take place.
